Field of bloom is a collection of raw recordings I created in my studio. I was experimenting with the idea of creating with  nature, rather than trying to create an isolated reality which works completely against nature. I had left the window open while playing piano and quickly realized that I was not alone.

the narcotix: mommy issues

The Narcotix is a musical project that I started with my childhood best friend in 2013. Our music is influenced by our West-African upbringings combined with our experiences growing up in the suburbs of northern Virginia. Mommy Issues is our first debut; it’s an EP that explores the tumultuous relationship between Mother Earth and humanity through a theatrical sonic journey.

Mommy Issues was recorded in a quarantine-fugue state at the exquisite GB’s Juke Joint in Long Island City. It is a culmination of boyish triumph and charm, belied by mesmerizing snapshots of contemplation and isolation not specific to this time. It is a collection of spectral elegies for the living, a macabre homage to Brothers Grimm folklore
